THE VIIth EDITION OF GUSTO IN SCENA, AN INTERNATIONAL FOOD AND WINE EVENT THAT TAKES PLACE IN VENICE , CONCEIVED AND RUN BY MARCELLO CORONINI, WITH MORE THAN 4000 VISITORS, STARTED WITH THE AWARD OF LEONE D’ORO FOR THE CAREER TO IGINIO MASSARI. OF COURSE THE GREAT MASTER OF PASTRY WAS THERE, TOGETHER WITH 14 STAR CHEFS, PIZZA CHEFS, PASTRY CHEFS AND BAKERS, ALL CHALLENGED IN COOKING ACCORDING TO THE RULES OF MARCELLO CORONINI IN LA CUCINA DEL SENZA®. HE DECLARED “OUR AIM IS INTRODUCING THE “KITCHEN OF THE WITHOUT” IN ALL THE ITALIAN HOUSES, WITH RECIPES EASY TO REALIZE”.

The Award was presented to Massari by Elio Dazzo, President of AEPE (Associazione Esercenti Pubblici Esercizi di Venezia) and assigned by Marcello Coronini, creator and organizer of the event.
Massari is the father of pastry- explained Coronini- this is a prize for the person, a big person, not only for the character. Awarding him is creatings enthusiasm in every collegue”.
Iginio Massari is considered the master of Italian pastry in the world. He founded the Accademia Maestri Pasticceri Italiani and he was the first Italian winner of the World Chocolate Masters in Paris in 2013. He combines a great technical knowledge with a great didactic ability. His Pasticceria Veneto in Brescia has become a true reference point for international pastry.
Being awarded is a great pleasure, I received more than 300 prizes but of course, the Leone d’Oro to the Career has a special value- marked Iginio Massari- . what really struck me every time is that it is not coming from my city. So everytime I think about the famous proverb Nemo Propheta in Patria”.
Knowledge sharing has always been important for Massari: he founded the school Casta Alimenti, which operates since 20 years and place where 14 champions of the world of food were formed.
